[Journalists] descrimination against voices?

Hello. Knowing nothing about this topic, I'll jump right in with my 2
cents, for what they're worth.
I think you'll find that blind people are as discriminatory, on
average, as their sighted counterparts. That is, some will discriminate,
while others will not. The particular discriminatory habits of a
blind individual will depend mor on who their peers are and what their
peers think of discrimination, rather than them being particularly
discriminatory or non-discriminatory when compared with their sighted
peers.
I might be mistaken, I apologize if I am, but I think the question
you're trying to ask, is: if a blind person does discriminate on racial
lines, or socio-economic lines, do they use voice cues to perform that
discriminatory step, much as sighted folks use body type, skin color and
dressing habits to do the same? I think the answer is, yes, but I don't
have any sources to back this up. I should note, however, that the blind
aren't the only folks to discriminate based on voice cues. Many sighted
folks size others up based on the way those others speak. There's a reason
folks talk about "radio voices" and it has nothing to do with blindness at
all.
So, there you have it, my 2 cents! :)
