Low Vision/Technology Workshop
Sponsored by the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

What: Educating the Visually Impaired Student
When: January 29, 2015, 8:00 to 3:30
Where: Campus of the Louisiana Schools for the Deaf and Visually Impaired,
2888 Brightside Lane, Baton Rouge, LA (Student Center)
Who: TVIs, Classroom Teachers, Para-Educators, Parents of VI/Blind Students

The workshop will have sessions focused technology and accessibility for
the blind and visually impaired. Presenters will provide participants with
an overview of some of the newest technologies being produced by Apple,
HIMS, and Enhanced Vision.

Presenters will include: Kathy Foster with Low Vision Etc., Shane Seal
with Apple accessibility, and Scott Hegle with HIMS Organizations from
throughout LA include: LA Lighthouse, LA Library, LCB, ABL,
LRS, Families Helping Families

Workshop topics to be covered include:
Apple accessibility
Low vision technology tools and resources
iPad compatible magnifier equipment
Services available to students statewide (organizations, training centers,
and agencies)

**There will be a door prize of Low Vision Equipment. Winner must be
present to win.**
