[Lpobc] Forming a board for LPOBC

Dear Parents,

This year at state convention, we'd like to officially elect a board for
Louisiana Parents of Blind Children.  Board members would participate in a
monthly conference call and would be responsible for planning LPOBC
priorities and activities.  This is our organization, and we can grow it to
be whatever we want.  In addition to the events we have each year at state
convention, activities might include:

- statewide trainings for parents and/or teachers
- field trips for families
- a newsletter
- a more active website: http://www.nfbla.org/pages/parents.html
- family retreats
- IEP advocacy
- collaboration with other organizations in the state and nationally
- development of resources for families, teachers, administrators and
health care professionals
- monthly Saturday Clubs in other parts of the state
- more!
