Hello all,
Please send letters to the following people so that we can get the SB488
passed. Please do it by March 8. You should say something like the
following:

Dear Senator ____,
My name is _____ and please support SB488. This bill calls for the General
Assembly to study the feasibility of whether Maryland should have
electronic ballot return for vote by mail. Some classes of voters, such as
the print disabled and the military, are impacted by the failure to have
electronic ballot return. Print disabled voters lose their right to privacy
and a secret ballot; military voters may miss the deadline and their vote
will not be counted. Everyone deserves the right to have their vote count
while maintaining their privacy and secrecy.

Everyone should write to the chairman of the Education, Energy and the
Environment Committee, Brian Feldman. The email address for senators is
[first name].[last name]@senate.state.md.us.
If you live in Anne Arundel County, write to Bryan Simonaire.
If you live in Baltimore City, write to Mary Washington.
If you live in Baltimore County, write to Benjamin Brooks. Thank him for
sponsoring the bill.
If you live in Frederick County, write to Karen Young.
If you live in Harford or Cecil County, write to Jason Gallion.
If you live in Howard or Montgomery County, write to Katie Fry Hester
(email is katiefry.hester at senate.state.md.us).
If you live in Montgomery County, write to Cheryl Kagan.
If you live in Prince George's County, write to Ron Watson and Malcolm
Augustine.
If you live in Somerset, Wicomico or Worcester, write to Mary Beth Carozza
(email is marybeth.carozza at senate.state.md.us).

Thank you.

not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise
the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
