Hello All:

 

There will be a solar eclipse today and you can experience it even if you do not have sight.

 

. Here is a link to an app that was created to allow the cited, blind, and visually impaired the ability to understand this astronomical event and actively participate by listening and feeling  a solar eclipse!

 

This includes what they call a rumble map where through sounds and haptics you can feel the light and darkness of an eclipse in all its many stages. From Bailey's beads to the diamond ring with descriptions that helps you understand all the phases of this wonderful natural event.

 

For the blind using voiceover you double click on the screen and lower and higher pitches Will tell you the differences in light.

Note: The app will tell you Some of the information based on your location when the eclipse starts and how much of a percentage of an eclipse you will see. 

 

These apps are very well Done and accessible for the blind and visually impaired.
