Subject: [Massachusetts-NFB] Wondering if there is enough interest in
holding a Thanksgiving dinner for our NFB Family

Hello NFB Family,

It has come to my attention that some members who live here, do not have any
family nearby nor are they able to travel for the Thanksgiving Holiday. It
would be very nice for these individuals to have something special to look
forward to for the Holiday.

A few of us have spoken and we are wondering how much interest there is
in having a Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving meal together. This year,
Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 28. Therefore, We are thinking
maybe Friday, November 29 or Saturday, November 30, would be the best choice
for our gathering. .

We would secure a place where we could have a potluck style meal or perhaps
find a restaurant.

Personally, I would much rather have the potluck style meal, as the food
would be better and would feel more like a true Thanksgiving Family dinner.
Shirley and I are both on board to do a little of the cooking. Let me know
what you think and whether or not, this would be of interest to you.

Please let me know your interest by September 30.

With love,

Shara Winton

President, National federation of the Blind of Massachusetts

-Giving is a great idea

I would be interested in the potluck.

Adam
