Just FYI, although I am not making an command of any kind, just giving y’all the heads up… I do believe that the at-large chapter plans to donate a pair of Metta glasses.

Hello all,

I love the idea of supporting a chapter auction basket for convention. To keep the theme of our recent meeting, I think it could be very attractive to do a technology themed basket where the big ticket item would be a pair of Rayband Meta smart glasses.

This would mean that the starting valuation of the basket would be quite high, but I am confident that it wil auction off for a very competitive price.

I wonder if the Rayband store in Cambridge would even offer a discount or donation since it is for the purpose of raising funds for the NFB. To compliment the glasses, we could have smaller tech related items such as, portable charger, Echo dot/google home device, etc.

Happy to hear others thoughts, and count me in on contributing to funding whichever basket we create.

Best,

Kinshuk

Hi Sherly
I like the idea of having the gift basket of chocolate and different gift cards to restaurants such as Cambridge Common, the Cheesecake Factory, Tate Bakery and Cafe, ETC.
Let's discuss more on February 10, 2025, As we continue to live the lives we want.

Good evening, Cambridge Chapter family, and friends!

I hope this email finds you well. As we prepare for the upcoming state convention, we have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the auction in a new way.

This year, instead of having an auction chairperson gather items, each chapter and division is asked to contribute a basket or significant item for the auction. I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on what our chapter could give.

Here are a few considerations to guide your input:
   • Should we create a themed basket (e.g., coffee, relaxation, or local favorites)?
   • Is there a significant item or experience we could contribute (e.g., gift cards, tickets, or technology)?
   • Would you like to pool resources to purchase or create something meaningful?

It is important to get input as soon as possible so that we can ask for donations in a timely manner, as I don’t feel, we will have time discussing this at our February meeting. Your input will help us represent our chapter in a way that truly reflects our values and creativity.

Let’s work together to make our contribution to the auction both impactful and memorable.

Thank you in advance for your ideas and participation!

Warm regards,
Shirley Dorris
