Here are the April division notes.

April Parent Division Meeting Notes:

 

Call to order:

The April parent division meeting was called to order on April 9, 2026, at
6:00 P.M. The people who were in attendance were Ellen Bartelt, John Wetcel,
Youme Nguyen Ly, Hai Nguyen Ly, Stephanie Valdes, Dana Lynn Stockwood and
Jen Bose. Stephanie led everyone on the NFB pledge.

 

Secretary Report:

The members approved the secretary report. There needs to be some spelling
corrections to the spellings of some of the names. Ellen will resend the
March notes out with the spelling corrections.

 

Goals:

The goals were read aloud to the membership. Stephanie has a contact at
Perkins to help grow membership. There will be a day at the capital in June.
During the capital meetings members can ask congress members if they are
interested in a parent bill. Stephanie's job has materials that can be used
for IEP training. There was a lot of discussion about creating a flyer to
share with families and organizations.

 

Action Items:

Stephanie will let members know when Perkins is hosting family events. Jen
and Youme are planning to meet on April 17 to get started on the parent
flyer.

The meeting ended at 7:00 P.M.
