Hello All,
The next meeting of the At Large chapter will take place tonight, April 16.
The National President's message begins at 7:30pm and the meeting will be
from 8-9pm. Joanne Wilson, a long time federationist, will speak and there
will be time for dialogue/discussion.
Come and join us! The minutes of the last meeting are below.
Nfbmd At Large Chapter Meeting Minutes for March 19, 2024
The Presidential Release started at 7:30 PM.
The meeting was started at 8:00 PM by Marguerite Woods, President.
The round robin took place. Everyone announced themselves, stated where
they are in the state, and answered the question “what do you love about
spring?
There were approximately 15 members on the call.
Tonight’s guest speaker is Denise Brown. She is the president of the Greater
Philadelphia chapter. She Has been president for 21 years. She was a
teacher, who
taught for 22 years. She loves Broadway shows, live music, and is involved
with her church and sorority. Besides speaking about her background, she
also spoke about how she became involved with the NFB.
Sharon talked about the Maryland Accessibility Telecommunications (MAT)
program.This program allows disabled Americans the opportunity to have a
cell phone, tablet, or a smart speaker.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 Pm.
