Metro Recognition of the 20th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act



The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Monday, July 26, 2010 and you're invited to participate!



Join the MetroAccess Subcommittee of the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) for a recognition event celebrating the ADA's 20th anniversary at Metro Headquarters, 600 5th Street, NW, Washington, DC in the Lobby Level Meeting Room. The MetroAccess Subcommittee meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. and the recognition event will begin at 5:00 p.m.



*         Hear about the role of the ADA in increasing accessible transportation options throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan region

*         Meet Metro Department of Access Services staff and AAC members

*         Share your perspective on how the ADA has had an impact on you

*         Hear a Metro proclamation recognizing the 20th anniversary of the ADA

*         Network with disability advocates and consumers
