[Md-sligo] FW: [napub] Braille Book Fair Needs Volunteers

Hi Debbie,

I'm not sure if you remember me -- I'm on the listserve and came to some meetings some months ago. I stopped coming because my vision was pretty stable at the time. Unfortunately, it's started to decline again and I'm starting to plan for a transition if it continues to get worse.

I have a question that I'm hoping you will be able to help me with. I need a new computer and I'm thinking of getting a Mac. If I end up needing voice technology or other technical assistance, will I be able to use a Mac with the technology? Is there a better option? Will I have to buy a whole new computer to use these things?

Thanks for any help or referral you can offer.

We need Braille and print readers; teens and kids (kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult) are welcomed, too.
