Hi Laurie,
I am really sorry we keep missing each other. I will be in the office next week, so we'll make an effort to try and talk early in the week. To answer your question regarding re-opening of your case, you can always do that--especially if the need for services arises. Even if a person is employed and we close their case on paper, it can always be opened up again in what the DORS lingo calls post employment status. So don't worry, you can come back, and if you continue living in Montgomery County, I will be your counselor. I do want to touch base with you though, so let's talk soon. Have a great weekend.

Hi Debbie,

I'm not sure if you remember me -- I'm on the listserve and came to some meetings some months ago. I stopped coming because my vision was pretty stable at the time. Unfortunately, it's started to decline again and I'm starting to plan for a transition if it continues to get worse.

I have a question that I'm hoping you will be able to help me with. I need a new computer and I'm thinking of getting a Mac. If I end up needing voice technology or other technical assistance, will I be able to use a Mac with the technology? Is there a better option? Will I have to buy a whole new computer to use these things?

Thanks for any help or referral you can offer.

We need Braille and print readers; teens and kids (kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult) are welcomed, too.
