Subject: Correction: Reminder: Tech Talk Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012, MLK library room 215, 6:30PM - 8:30PM
Reminder: Tech Talk Tuesday is Tuesday, October 2nd from 6:30 to 8:30PM in room 215 at the DC Public Library.
Currently, we are featuring an iPad accessibility training using the Voiceover screen reader, Zoom magnification, and accessible apps for people with cognitive and intellectual disabilities.
We do not yet have an Android accessibility curriculum but plan to start one sometime after the October 27th Saturday Session which will feature iOs and Android accessibility demonstrations by experts.
We try to fit the format of the meeting to suit the needs of the people who show up, so if you are a beginner we will try to get you one on one hands on training, and if you are intermediate we will try to put you in a group with experts.
Tech Talk Tuesday takes place every first Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in room 215, Adaptive Services, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. This meet-up is an opportunity for adaptive technology users to get together and share information on specific technologies. Past guest hosts have included Richard Krafsig of TCS Associates offering free training in GW Micro products like the BrailleSense note taker and Window Eyes screenreader.
