  Essential Position Functions:
  1.            Provide training in areas of the CORE program: focus on Apartment Management.  Must be strong in Structured Discovery methods of Orientation & Mobility, Braille, & Computer Technology, & Independent Living.
  2.            Participates in planning, implementation and evaluation of objectives and goals.
  3.            Mentor and coach to students
  4.            Provide blindness philosophy training to CORE program students.
  5.            Externally promotes the organization and participates in public or private functions as a representative of the company.
  6.            Prepare monthly reports and evaluations.
  7.            Provide blindness counseling to students and families.
  8.            Work closely with Youth and Senior training programs as needed.
  9.            Performs other duties as assigned.
  10.  Works with students in an apartment based setting as well as classroom setting.
  11.          Provides cleanliness inspections on all apartments
  12.  Handles issues at student apartments as they arise, be liaison be apartment complex and BISM.
  13.  Host two-day overnight tours while they visit BISM CORE program
   
  Qualifications:
  1.            Requires education or learning beyond high school which was acquired by a prolonged course of specialized instruction.
  2.            Must be able to read and interpret industry-specific journals, financial reports and legal documents as they apply to operations.
  3.            Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  4.            Must be proficient in alternative skills of blindness.
