[Md-sligo] App helped me find the right bus stop

Hi Judy, Brian Yazmin and everyone, I want to tell you that the parts of the
Seeing A Eye app that Terry is able to access on her phone are phenominal.
I am currently looking into getting a 6 S E phone, I was wondering if
Maryland relay would have these phones for the Blind/visually
impaired/Senior citizens. I spoke to several people at Maryland Relay who
knew absolutely nothing about any cell phone programs at all.
I got my current Odin Mobile phone through Maryland Relay about 3 years ago.
Any help and info that anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Brian,
I haven't tried this app, but it would certainly be worth exploring.

Fellow Federationists,

I wanted to mention a free app that helped me out today. I used it on the
iPhone.

I was taking a bus today that I don't usually use from a bus stop I never
used before.

I found the bus shelter but wasn't sure if the bus I wanted stopped there.

The Seeing AI app, which is free, allowed me to hear the information on the
bus stop sign. I pointed my iPhone around until the iPhone camera found the
print on the sign. When the camera found the print, it read it
automatically. This confirmed I was at the right bus stop.

This app also includes a bar code reader for newer iPhones which helps me in
the kitchen.

Seeing AI does not replace my beloved KNFB Reader but it certainly helped me
out today. In case you hadn't come across this tool, I wanted to mention it.

Best,
Brian
