[Md-sligo] Chapter meeting

The chapter meeting will be this week on Saturday, September 15, at the Long
Branch Library, 8800 Garland Avenue., at 1:45.  

I will be calling many of you to talk to you about our HUNT seminar.  I am
attaching the flyer again to this message.  It is on September 29, at the
Praisner Community Center, 14906 Old Columbia Pike, from 10:00 to 2:00.
Lunch will be provided.  You may call me at 301-881-1892.

Because there is talk of a hurricane getting near us this weekend, I will
remind you that if I cancel a chapter meeting because of inclement weather,
I will do it by 9:00 on the day of the meeting.  Obviously, if Montgomery
County libraries are closed, we will not have a meeting.  

We still have candy left.  Someone has asked me about selling nuts this
year, but we can only do that if the Rasmussens have a basement clear of
candy.  We have plain milk chocolate and peanut brittle bars.  The milk
chocolate bars are 24 to a box and sell for $2 a bar.  The peanut brittle
bars are 36 to a box and sell for $1.50 a bar.

Next month, the Technology User Group from the Maryland Library for the
Blind and Physically Handicapped will meet at the Long Branch Library at
10:00 before our meeting.  We would like as many people as possible to come
to the event.  We have booked the Long Branch library for the rest of the
day, so we will work on lunch arrangements.

The state convention will be in Ocean City at the Carousel Hotel from
November 9-11.  If you plan to go, please let me know.  I will have details
about the cost at the chapter meeting.
