Because there is talk of a hurricane getting near us this weekend, I will remind you that if I cancel a chapter meeting because of inclement weather, I will do it by 9:00 on the day of the meeting.  Obviously, if Montgomery County libraries are closed, we will not have a meeting.

We still have candy left.  Someone has asked me about selling nuts this year, but we can only do that if the Rasmussens have a basement clear of candy.  We have plain milk chocolate and peanut brittle bars.  The milk chocolate bars are 24 to a box and sell for $2 a bar.  The peanut brittle bars are 36 to a box and sell for $1.50 a bar.

Next month, the Technology User Group from the Maryland Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped will meet at the Long Branch Library at 10:00 before our meeting.  We would like as many people as possible to come to the event.  We have booked the Long Branch library for the rest of the day, so we will work on lunch arrangements.

The state convention will be in Ocean City at the Carousel Hotel from November 9-11.  If you plan to go, please let me know.  I will have details about the cost at the chapter meeting.
