It’s so happens that on the same day at the same time we have the Blind Vender’s meeting Christmas party in Valdemar and we have to be there.

The chapter meeting is on Saturday, December 14, and we will have a party.  It will be from 1:00 to 4:30.  If you want to eat, we need to have people bring things to eat, so please let me know what you will bring.  Right now we are wide open for options.

It will be at 3005 South Leisure World Boulevard in the activity room.  When you get to the Leisure World gate, tell the guard you are visiting the Bobos.  There is a phone keypad to the left of the inside door.  Press 140 to let the Bobos know you are outside.  We will have someone waiting for you at the times when we think people will be coming, but these instructions will help you if you are very early or very late.

After the holidays are over, we will have events coming up in January.  Our day in Annapolis is Thursday, January 16.  We would like as many people as possible to help us reach all the legislators.  If this is new to you, you will be on a team with veteran advocates.  We leave very early in the morning and get back to New Carrollton about 8 p.m.

On January 13, there will be a court hearing in Baltimore about the board of elections.  As you know, we have been fighting for equal treatment, which includes a secret ballot for blind people.  If you are able to go to this hearing, please let me know, because we may be able to get vans from Baltimore if there are enough people.

I will have more information at the chapter meeting, and by that time there will be more events planned for a busy January.
