It looks as if some fares will go up but some will go down. If you have a choice about when you travel, you can save money by avoiding rush hour times. The MetroAccess maximum will not be increasing, which is good because some of you will be more likely to be paying it.

Subject: Board of Directors to vote on budget that looks ahead; funds Metro recovery in wake of pandemic
Metro’s Board of Directors will vote on the Authority’s FY2021 budget Thursday, which proposes expanded late-night rail hours, better weekend bus service, and fare and other service changes. The budget prepares for Metro’s recovery and funds the growing rail ridership and ongoing safety and service improvements that Metro was achieving before the COVID-19 pandemic began. In response to evolving effects of the pandemic, the Board expects to review the budget prior to the start of the fiscal year on July 1, 2020.
