We have a room at the Rockville library on Sunday, January 12. We need
braille readers from the chapter to help us with the event, but we also want
help from people who don't read braille yet. Here is what we plan to do:

1.	Write people's names in braille.
2. Have the person use the Braille Caravan blocks to write their name
in braille.
3.	Give the person an alphabet card and have them read a word in
braille.
4.	Tell the person a few things about Louis Braille and have them
answer a question.
5.	If we can get the tactile globe, which is at the library, have the
person find something on the globe, possibly France or the United States or
their country of origin.
6.	Let the person make a tactile bookmark if they want.
7. Give them a goody bag, along with their braille alphabet card.
We will also have a cake and hopefully a special guest.

We would like people to help with the goodies and lure people into the room.
These do not require knowledge of braille.

I want to have a meeting on Monday night at 7:00 with as many people as can
make it so that we can assign jobs.

We have the Rockville library meeting room from 1:30 to 4:30. The event
will start at 2:00.

Please let me know if you can attend a Monday night meeting, and I will get
you the meeting information.

Debbie
