Are you ready for our third advocacy workshop? On Saturday, August 20 from
1:30 to 5 PM we will discuss how to get your dream job and keep it. This
workshop will cover what assistance the Division of Rehabilitation Services
(DORS) can offer you, convincing your employer to provide reasonable
accommodations, what to do if you feel you are being discriminated against,
and more. Thanks to those who already registered. If you did not register,
please do it by Wednesday, August 17 by sending an email offline to me at
nfbmdsm at gmail.com. This workshop will help you be a better advocate for
yourself and others. See you on Saturday.

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is
not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise
the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
