[MDABS] [Youth Virtual Program] Transcribing the Sky with Josh Urban

Right now, almost a million miles from Earth, the new James Webb Space
Telescope floats in lonely space.  Soon it will point to a distant corner
of the Universe and will beam a finding back to NASA.  Scientists will show
us in the form of a photo.  Wouldn't it be nice if it was a tactile
graphic, too?

Join host, Josh Urban, as we learn about the Webb observation, and design
the translation together.  Let's build something that makes sense for the
Blind and Low Vision Community.  Share your input, and be part of the team
that opens the Universe to BLV folks everywhere. Should the picture be
converted to sound?  A 3D printed graphic?  How is data plotted best?  What
moves you and makes you say "wow"?  We need your brain - and your help.
Share your perspective at this exciting two-part event, coming to the
Maryland State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled on July 27th at
3:00 p.m.

Let's create something together, and then release it for all the world.  Let's
transcribe the sky.  Who knows what Webb will find!
