[MDABS] Senate Tax Bill Letters and Voting Update

Hi all,
The bill number for voting is SB929. Thank Senator Brooks for sponsoring
the bill.

We also need letters for the raising the blind exemption on property tax
bill (SB911). This will raise the exemption from $15,000 to $40,000. You
should say something like: "The exemption has not been raised in 25 years.
If it is to be meaningful, it should be raised now. Property values have
gone up since 2000." You should email the senators or call them. The number
is 410-841, plus the extension.

Everyone should write to the chairman, Guy Guzzone (
guy.guzzone at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3572.

If you live in Anne Arundel or Prince George's County, you should write to
Jim Rosapepe (jim.rosapepe at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3141.

If you live in Baltimore City, you should write to Cory V. McCray (
cory.mccray at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3165.

If you live in Baltimore County, you should write to Shelly Hettleman (
shelly.hettleman at senate.state.md.us) and Johnny Ray Salling (
johnnyray.salling at senate.state.md.us). Hettleman's extension is 3131 and
Salling's is 3587.

If you live in Baltimore or Harford County, you should write to J.B.
Jennings (jb.jennings at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3706.

If you live in Calvert, Charles, or Prince George's County, you should
write to Michael A. Jackson (michael.jackson at senate.state.md.us). His
extension is 3700.

If you live in Calvert or St. Mary's County, you should write to Jack
Bailey (jack.bailey at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3673.

If you live in Frederick County, write to Karen Lewis Young (
karen.young at senate.state.md.us). Her extension is 3575.

If you live in Montgomery County, write to Nancy J. King (
nancy.king at senate.state.md.us) and Craig J. Zucker (
craig.zucker at senate.state.md.us). King's extension is 3686 and Zucker's is
3625
