Hello All,
Here are the senators for the autonomous vehicle bill, SB949. We did not
have time to write these letters at the convention, so everyone, please do
letters about autonomous vehicles. You should finish all letters including
tax and voting by March 5, which is our last hearing date.

You can say something like this on autonomous vehicles: "This bill
establishes standards for the use of autonomous vehicles. These standards
should be accessible and user friendly. Autonomous vehicles will help
provide more public transportation, which is desperately needed. Blind
persons will have an opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of
community life."

I am providing the extensions if you cannot do email. The main number is
410-841 plus the extension.

Everyone should write to the chairman of the Judicial Proceedings
Committee, William Smith (will.smith at senate.state.md.us). His extension
is 3634.

If you live in Allegany, Garrett, or Washington County, you should write to
Mike McKay (mike.mckay at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3565.

If you live in Anne Arundel County, you should write to Shaneka Henson (
shaneka.henson at senate.state.md.us). Her extension is 3578.

If you live in Baltimore County, you should write to Charles E. Sydnor, III
(charles.sydnor at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3612.

If you live in Baltimore or Carroll County, you should write to Chris West (
chris.west at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3648.

If you live in Frederick County, you should write to William G. Folden (
william.folden at senate.state.md.us). His extension is 3704.

If you live in Harford County, you should write to Mary-Dulany James (
marydulany.james at senate.state.md.us). Her extension is 3158.

If you live in Montgomery County, you should write to Sara Love (
sara.love at senate.state.md.us) and Jeff Waldstreicher (
jeff.waldstreicher at senate.state.md.us). Make sure you thank Love for
sponsoring the bill. Love's extension is 3124 and Waldstreicher's is 3137.

If you live in Prince George's County, you should write to Nick Charles (
nick.charles at senate.state.md.us) and C. Anthony Muse (
anthony.muse at senate.state.md.us). Charles's extension is 3127 and Muse's is
3092.

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is
not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise
the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
