[Mdpobc] Biology class accommodations

Maureen,

I would direct you to the National Federation of the Blind's various education initiatives which confront just these sorts of questions. There is, for example, a blind doctoral candidate in chemistry working hard on nonvisual lab solutions. You might begin by pointing your web browser to: http://www.blindscience.org for some ideas and contact information.

I hope this will suffice as a helpful beginning.

Maurice

Subject: [Mdpobc] Biology class accommodations

Hi,
My son, in college, will be taking biology next semester. He has some
vision yet, but I know he'll have a hard time seeing anything in the
microscope. Does anyone have any suggestions for successful
accommodations in a science lab? Thanks so much, Maureen Austen
