[Mdpobc] Biology class accommodations

My daughter is much younger, elem school, but from time to time her vision
teacher sends me things to keep for the future. Coincidentally, she just
sent this set of instructions from a vision technology specialist.

**********************************

schools are using this board now and this is very cool that they can do this
for our low vision students. This is how you use a microscope to magnify
biology slides seen under a microscope for a low vision student to see them.

1. Hook up a Flex Cam to the Promethean Board AV inputs (the AV inputs
are usually on the bottom of the board either on the right or left side
where the small silver box is located).

2. Focus the microscope using your eyes.

3. Bend the flex cam so that the camera lens is in line with the
microscope lens. (see attached Photo)

4. You should now see a blurred image of the slide on the Promethean
Board. Use the focusing feature (the ring around the lens) of the Flex Cam
to focus the image on the Board until it's clear. I spoke with multiple
Biology teachers and they said they use this all the time with their classes
so they can discuss what the kids see on the microscope slide as a class.
