A couple of years ago, I went to one of these Wrightslaw conferences, and it was excellent. Especially good for the "new" parent with a younger child who is just starting to understand the advocacy process and how to negotiate an IEP, etc. Highly recommend it.

Please see the below email about a Wrightslaw conference in the DC area. I really wish they were coming to Texas!

Join national expert Peter Wright, Esq. for a Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy training just outside of Washington, DC in Waldorf, MD.
As a part of the legal portion of the program, Pete will discuss two recent rulings from Maryland’s U.S. District Court - (1) Parent’s request for tuition reimbursement from Montgomery County for their child’s education at the Diener School and (2) a Frederick County Pyramid School restraint and seclusion case where the Court quoted a portion of Pete’s successful 2001 ruling from the 4th Circuit in Jaynes v. Newport News (VA).
The Center for Children, Inc. is sponsoring this event.

What People Are Saying About Wrightslaw Conferences
"What a marvelous conference! I often leave sped presentations angry and/or guilty because of all the things that were done or not done. This time I left encouraged, inspired and armed!" - Melissa, advocate from Maryland
