My son is 10. He really enjoyed the open air trolley ride through the different habitats. He even recognized some of the birds when we got home. The first time we went, they had some live chicks and ducks that could be held. They also had some stuffed real birds. (while kinda gross :) in my opinion) Alexander thought that it was pretty cool to feel a hawk and a humming bird, etc.
hope this helps,
Jessica

Hello everyone,
I am contacting you in hopes that you will be able to pass along the information on a great program for visually impaired individuals taking place at Patuxent Research Refuge this month. I am the lead staff member for the Birding for the Blind event this April 30th at Patuxent Research Refuge. Formally lead by Michelle Donlan for the past few years. I have received your email from her as an individual that was interested in helping to spread the word about this event. Would you be willing to help spread the word again this year? I have attached the pdf file with details for the event. If you would like I would be more than happy to send you some paper flyers as well. I would just need an address in which to send them.
Thank you so much for your support and hope to hear from you! Please let me know if you have any questions.
