Good morning, For those who don't know me. My name is Amy Phelps, Youth
Services Manager at Blind Industries and Services of Maryland. Over the
course of the next year, we are going to be planning events and
activities for our blind and visually impaired children, tweens, and
teens but to do this, I would like to ask for your assistance. We are
interested in finding out what you as parents are interested in seeing
take place for your children. Right now, our planning options are open.
The one thing that I would like to see happen is that we do things
around the state so that we can reach out to as many children and youth
as possible.

If you will please take a few moments and send me an email to
aphelps at bism.org and let me know what you are interested in. Right now
we are dreaming, so let me know your interests, the interests of your
child or teen. What are some of the barriers to your child participating
in activities? The one thing that is my goal in planning programs for
your child or teen it so make certain they are connected with successful
blind role models. Also, let me know where you are located.

Thank you for your input and guidance as we plan for future events and
activities.

Warm regards,

Amy C. Phelps, CRC, NOMC
