Hey parents of blind children -- if any of you have teenagers they may be interested in this.  I just discovered the adorable Molly Burke.  If you have not heard of her, check out her adorable, hilarious, creative youtube videos.  Type in - Molly Burke blind girl.  There are a bunch of them.  the one about her guide dog, the one about when she walked off a stage and nearly broke her neck, about putting on make-up, all sorts of things.  SHe is so inspiring and very accepting, courageous and positive about losing her vision.  And she can really tell a story! check her out on youtube!
