Hello everyone,

On October 1 and 2, Ellicot City celebrates Wizarding Weekend on Magical
Main. This celebration is the brain child of Teresa Graham, First Vice
President of the MD Parents of Blind Children. Teresa and her business
colleagues have planned another exciting, fun filled weekend with a truly
magical theme. There will be face painting, crafts and braille messages for
kids, a scavenger hunt, businesses selling magically themed items, and much
more!

Funds raised will benefit the Maryland Parents of Blind Children, and the
National Federation of the Blind of Maryland.

We are in need of volunteers to work shifts on Saturday, October 1, and
Sunday, October 2. Shifts are at the following times: 8:30-12:30,
12:30-4:30, and 4:30-9 on each day. Transportation to and from the event, or
reimbursement for transportation, will be provided. In the past, volunteers
have explained and sold the scavenger hunt, answered questions, etc. This is
a very fun event, which usually draws a large crowd, and I cannot think of a
better way to begin Blindness Equality Achievement Month than to work a
shift! And, if possible, plan to come before your shift, or stick around
after it is over, so you can enjoy all the things this event has to offer.

If you would like to volunteer, or have questions about this event, please
contact Garret Mooney at

James.garret.mooney at gmail.com <mailto:James.garret.mooney at gmail.com>

Or (480) 433-8003.

Thank you in advance for all of your help with this event!

Melissa
