I don't think they can challenge him too much now except to ask those two
questions that they can ask.
 
Now, we do or did have a guide parrot here and people have seen that parrot
guide and say it's quite impressive.

Thanks Margo! Figured you'd know something! Although I know someone in our
area who claims his amazon parrot helps him with his schizophrenia. I've
seen him on the bus and in a cab or to. Don't think anyone's challenged him
because the bird behaves pretty well but he might have to be careful if they
ever do!

Russell, this is indeed an interesting question.  The Department of Justice
has limited service animal to the dog and sometimes the guide horse.  The
Department of Transportation has not changed its regulations so any animal
can be a service animal.

Let me look. I think dog is usually implied though. Any ADa exxperts out
there? I do know that some places are not alolowin horses yet.

I would like to know if there is a different standard for what is considered
a service animal for public transportation, or is the dog the service animal
and not all other types of animals. Does the Federal transportation have
different rules than the justices department have.
