Good afternoon, all-I'm excited to be able to share the 2014 Partners in
Policymaking application with you, and kindly request your assistance in the
distribution of it to parents who have a child with a disability, and/or
young adults with disabilities.

 

Having graduated from this program in September, 2013,, I have the ability
to talk first-hand about how impactful this program was for me. Not only is
there a potential for long-lasting friendships, but you learn so much about
how to communicate with elected officials; how to advocate effectively for
wants/needs and the causes in which you believe; alternatives to
Gardianship; how to effectively run a meeting; community organizing; and
much, much more.

 

Please contact me should you have any questions, and be aware that I am
definitely prepared to speak to anyone (individuals, schools, etc.)
regarding this extremely beneficial program.

 

Thank-you in advance for your assistance in the distribution of the 2014
Partners in Policymaking application and the "Frequently Asked Questions"
document.
