[Mn-at-large] Walk for Opportunity

To those participating in the Walk for Opportunity:

There are just a few days left until the National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota's 36th annual Walk For Opportunity, hosted by our wonderful Rochester chapter! Here are some reminders and details:

On Saturday, please bring with you these things to hand in at registration:

• The payment for your lunch ($7.50, checks made payable to the NFB of MN Rochester chapter);

•  the Walk for Opportunity Official Entry Form, filled out and signed. It is attached to this email and is available at www.nfbmn.org as well.

•  all in-hand contributions you have collected (at least $25).

Registration begins at 9:15 on September 9; please arrive promptly so that we'll all be registered and ready to start moving by 10:00.

The walk starts at Three Links Shelter at Silver Lake Park, 840 7th Street NE, Rochester, MN 55906.  The walking directions are attached to this email. Print and braille paper copies of the walk route will be available in Rochester.

For those leaving from the metro area, the bus will depart from our
headquarters at 100 East 22nd Street, Minneapolis, at 7:30 AM.   The
metro chapter will cover the cost of the bus this year, which equals about $25 per person. Donations in cash or check form will be gladly accepted to help pay for the bus. Checks for this purpose should be made payable to the Metro Chapter.
