Happy Friday -

We're pleased to announce that Kia Yang has been selected to join SSB in the WDU Rehabilitation Teacher position. Kia has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience teaching independent living skills to individuals of all ages who are blind and Deafblind.

Kia has experience teaching daily living skills, assistive technology, and braille. She has a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, is a certified rehabilitation instructor, and speaks Hmong as a second language. Her most recent position is as the Home Management Instructor at BLIND Inc. Before coming to Minnesota she taught independent living skills in Colorado.

We believe Kia brings a unique blend of skill, knowledge, and experience to this position and we're excited to welcome her to the WDU team.

Kia's first day will be Wednesday, November 13. Kia's cubicle will be located in the BEP section of SSB across from Kara Martin.
