[MN-at-Large] Legislative Alert: Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act

Minnesota Federationists,

 

The results of our work at the Washington Seminar are beginning to show. We
received word recently that Representative Jan Schakowsky will be
introducing the
Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act

as early as next Tuesday, February 21. 

To gain momentum for this legislation, it will be helpful to build the
number of originating cosponsors (i.e., those already signed on when the
bill is introduced). 

All Minnesota Federationists can help by contacting your representative in
the House today and tomorrow to encourage them to be originating
cosponsors-a suggested message is below. (Note that Rep. Angie Craig signed
onto this last year, so if you are in her district you can point that out as
well). You can contact your member of Congress by:

. calling the Capitol Switchboard (202-224-3121) and asking for your
representative's office; or

. Sending an email through the forms at the links below.

is the suggested basic message you can use, whether calling or filling the
email form (including letting them know who to contact to become an
