Hello again!

Every year, roughly a dozen Minnesotans join hundreds of NFB members from
across the country at the Capitol in Washington, DC to advocate for our
legislative priorities. To help us prepare, I have a few asks of you:

1.	If you are attending, send an email to me and Jennifer Dunnam
(jennifer.dunnam1829 at gmail.com <mailto:jennifer.dunnam1829 at gmail.com> ) with
your travel plans and cell phone number. Please do this even if you have
already spoken with us.
2.	Join any of the upcoming training sessions hosted by our national
office.
3.	If you wish to speak on an issue with our representatives and
senators, attend one of two Minnesota-specific practice sessions.

National Training Sessions

Our first Washington Seminar training will be in just a few hours - on
Wednesday, January 3 - at 7pm CST. The training will be conducted via Zoom
and will focus on our three legislative priorities for the 2024 Washington
Seminar: the Websites and Software Applications Accessibility Act, the
Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act, and the Blind Americans Return
to Work Act. This meeting is open to everyone, and we strongly encourage you
to review the fact sheets (available on the Washington Seminar Page
<https://nfb.org/programs-services/advocacy/washington-seminar>  in both
Word and HTML formats) before the training. The Zoom information for the
January 3 training is:

*	Mock Meting Training #2 on Tuesday, January 16 at 7pm CST

Minnesota-Specific Practice Sessions

To help us work even better as a team, the Government Affairs Committee will
host two, Minnesota-specific practice sessions. If you wish to speak on an
issue in a legislator's office, you must either attend one of these sessions
or meet individually with Sam Flax (samflax926 at gmail.com
<mailto:samflax926 at gmail.com> ).  You do not need to attend both sessions;
just pick the one that works better for you.

Here are the dates for the virtual meetings:

*	Wednesday, January 10 at 7:30pm
*	Thursday, January 25 at 5pm
