I am aware of the A 440 and I know how to tune to the fifth fret but thanks
for the tip.
I did have an A 440 tuning fork but some where along the way I lost it.
can you please tell me more about the
Boss TU-80 electronic
tuner?
Like where can I get one and how much do they cost.
I can tune pretty well by ear but if and when I get some type of band
together and start playing in front of people it would be nice to know that
my guitar is tuned perfect instead of just tuned pretty good.
A subtle change can make a differance between sounding good and sounding
great.

thanks again for the info.
Robert

Robert,
This is a good way to do it, too! Another way is to use an "A" tuning
fork at 440 to tune the fifth string, then close each string at the fifth
fret (except for the third string which is closed on the fourth) and tune
the next higher string. My preference is to use the Boss TU-80 electronic
tuner. It chirps when the correct frequency is achieved and gives your
instrument perfect pitch! HTH!

Fraternally,
Marion
