[musictlk] music production

George,

Great! Once again, in my oppinion, you can't go wrong with Sonar/CT.

As for computers, aside from my custom built one, I don't have any
experience with any of the others. I had mine built by a computer -geek type
dude, he researched what the DAW's had in them , and built me a comparable
box, and charged a very fair rate.

If you want a notebook, I'd recommend not getting a mass produced one, but
one specifically designed for audio recording/production... again, any
decent computer-geek type that spends the time to research notebook DAW's
can build one for you.

If you don't mind spending the extra cash, there are plenty of companies
that build DAW's, usually nothing wrong with them, they just cost a little
more, and they could build you a powerful DAW notebook as well.

When if comes to audio production, Windows often gets a tough ride, but a
good Windows DAW can do what the MAC does, and believe it or not, if built
right, can out perform a Mac... I know this to be true, I have one.

Oppinion here again... JAWS is by far the best screen-reader available (
I've tried them all,) and when it comes time to do music, JAWS and Sonar/CT
will always be a very reliable and solid way to get music done!

For me, the end result is what it's all about, and again, you just can't go
wrong with the combination of JAWS/Sonar/CT for recording/mixing/producing
music.

Steve
