Hello, George, Steve, and All,

My thanks to Steve for his praise for CakeTalking. As I wrote to Sean W.
recently, before you invest in a new PC workstation, you may want to try
running SONAR 8.5, CakeTalking with a dedicated audio interface (soundcard)
on your existing PC provided that it meets or exceeds the "recommended"
system requirements for SONAR as opposed to the "minimum" system
requirements. See
http://www.dancingdots.com/prodesc/CakeTalkingForSONAR.htm and, if you are
using JAWS, press the letter h a few times until you reach the heading that
says "System Requirements."

However, as Steve wrote, for the best results, it is ideal to have your own
audio production workstation PC. If you are thinking of going that route,
please call us to discuss what we can offer: 610-783-6692, Option 1.

Our supplier does nothing but build digital audio workstations and other
multi-media PC's. We at Dancing Dots provide the specialized support that
they cannot and we can still offer the same DAW's at comparable prices. Our
service includes a phone session with you when you take delivery to ensure
that everything is connected an configured properly. The machine comes
ready to use with your copy of JAWS already installed and authorized. SONAR
and CakeTalking are installed and ready to use as well. Any device drivers
required for your audio interface will also be installed and SONAR will be
configured to use that device. We have similar arrangements with popular
suppliers of audio and music hardware so we can provide things like high-end
soundcards, musical keyboards, control surfaces, etc., at the minimum
advertised price. Again, we are blind guys here and we can relate to how
you need to work with all these gadgets.

Regards,
Bill

Hi Steve:
Thanks for the info, I'll look into it.

And yes, I will agree with you.

Even when I've been on Apple's machines for the last few years if I have to
use a Windows computer for any reason, I always use JAWS.

Its simply the best out there for Windows.

Anyway, thanks for the info, and I'll let you know what I end up buying.

Jorge

dude, he researched what the DAW's had in them , and built me a comparable
box, and charged a very fair rate.

one specifically designed for audio recording/production... again, any
decent computer-geek type that spends the time to research notebook DAW's
can build one for you.

more, and they could build you a powerful DAW notebook as well.

good Windows DAW can do what the MAC does, and believe it or not, if built

I've tried them all,) and when it comes time to do music, JAWS and Sonar/CT
will always be a very reliable and solid way to get music done!

go wrong with the combination of JAWS/Sonar/CT for
recording/mixing/producing music.
