Dear friends,

                I use Jaws 10, with Windows XP.  Who makes an affordable
audio editing software that is accessible, and will enable me to cut
unwanted silence out of a recording, as well as normalize audio levels, to
take a quiet recording and boost the level to normal standard?  I've heard
of Gold Wave and Sound Forge, but have not used either.  There may even be
other programs I'm not aware of.  You may write me directly.  My email
