[musictlk] Playing The Guitar

Hi, Brianna,

My take goes like this:
I have good calluses on my left (fingering) hand but (as Marion
indicated) on the tips of my fingers not the pads so my left-hand
reading is not impacted at all. I play classical (and banjo) so I
also have calluses on my right hand. these are larger and extend
more toward the finger pad. I can still read with either hand, but
I think it's safe to say that my right hand is less
sensitive. that's a tricky call to make though. We know from brain
scans that usually (not always) the nondominant hand is more
sensitive than the dominant. so, I can't say for sure if it's the
slight area of overlap from braille reading and finger picking that
does this or if my right hand is just generally slightly behind the curve.

Either way, I think we're all agreed that the impact, whatever it may
be, is slight enough not to worry about.

Peace,

Sheri W-J
