[musictlk] Music theory books in braille and fun for sighted kids

Hello!
I'm a Librarian at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) where we have a large collection of sheet music written in the Braille music code. Several users of this collection are blind piano teachers, who often teach sighted students and use braille transcriptions of teaching books, such as the Piano Adventures series by Faber & Faber.  I am contacting you to ask if you know of any theory books that are enjoyable for kids to use, e.g. include illustrations, but have enough text in them that they could be understood only by the text, including music notes? We find that the 2nd edition of the Piano Adventures Theory book is extremely challenging for braille because of the difficulty of describing some of the visual activities. I would really appreciate knowing about any other theory books that are fun yet educational.
