[musictlk] Low budget music recording and a few questions

Hello,
If I were you I'd use the Mack. If you already have a Mack and you don't
have the setup for the PC/audacity, it will be so much cheaper just using
garage band. You can also expand into Pro Tools when you get the money.
You should consider investing in a better Mic, but for YouTube recordings,
even just recording a video on the Mack is what most artists do.
Of course if you want a really good sounding recording you will need the big
guns, (Pro Tools, Mic, preamp, sound card...) but you have enough to make a
demo in the Mack now.
Thanks,

Subject: [musictlk] Low budget music recording and a few questions

Howdy everyone,

I would like to start recording my music. I'd like to make it available
online either via podcast or youtube. I'm not sure which yet, thoughts?

As far as recording, I have a macbook pro. I also have a zoom H1 recorder
and a victor reader stream first gen, and no I don't plan on using the
stream for music recording. :)
Will garage band work for software or should I try audacity?
I will be playing several instruments including, but not limited to, guitar,
ukulele, penny whistle, lap harp, euphonium, and some percussion and voice
thrown in.

Thanks in advance for all the help.
