Hi Sandra,

Yes, but first I should learn how to read music, then learn how to read it 
in braille. Are there any resources out there where I can learn the 
fundamentals?

Hello Jen,
Do you mean you want to learn how to read Braille Music? If so, there
are several elements to it. If you just want to learn the Braille
Music Code, there are various beginner books available from libraries.
For example, Who's afraid of braille music? by Richard Taesch and
William R. McCann. If you want to learn how to sight read and play and
sing pieces of music from a Braille Score, you'll need to learn voice
and ear co-ordination which is how you build your inner Walkman. That
is what helps you read a piece of music and hear it unfold in your
head as if you're listening to a recording of it. You will need a
teacher for this because you can't learn this skill from a book. When
I teach Braille Music, I focus on this second element the most.
