Hi,

So when I write out Linda's list for my friend, would it be best
to write the scales in order of how many flats?
If that makes any sense

Hi all,

One important thing to remember is that the circle of fifths is
meant
to be a circle. What would be really helpful is if you could
have a
tactile image of it made with the keys written in appropriate
places
on the circle, like the numbers on the face of a clock. 12:00
would
be your C major, with no sharps or flats. Each time you go
clockwise
around the circle, you add a sharp. Each time you go
counter-clockwise, you add a flat. You have to switch once you
hit
C-sharp when going counter-clockwise to flats. I hope this
helps.
Linda's list is very helpful for spelling out the keys, but the
circle
will really help you to learn the relationships between the keys
rather than just what notes are in each diatonic scale.

Yes, the key of c is my preferable key as well.
I can do key of g on the occation and the key of f, but that's
 about it.

 Hi,
This listing is really helpful to me also. I tend to play
mostly
 in the key
of C because I haven't memorized all of the sharps and flats; I
 just know
some of them. So thanks for providing this list!

 Hi Marissa,

This doesn't make sense to me. Since we don't have a copy of
the
 document
you refer to, it's impossible for us to help you with the
reading
 of said
 document.

The circle of fifths is as follows:

 The keys are, going up for the sharps: C, G, D, A, E, B,
F-Sharp,
 C-Sharp.

 Going down for the flats: C, F, B-Flat, E-Flat, A-Flat, D-Flat,
 G-Flat,

The C scale is as you said.
 The G scale is G, A, B, C, D, E, F-Sharp, G.
 The D scale is D, E, F-Sharp, G, A, B, C-Sharp, D.
 The A scale is A, B, C-Sharp, D, E, F-Sharp, G-Sharp, A.
 The E scale is E, F-Sharp, G-Sharp, A, B, C-Sharp, D-Sharp, E.
 The B scale is B, C-Sharp, D-Sharp, E, F-Sharp, G-Sharp,
A-Sharp,
 B.
 The F-Sharp scale is F-Sharp, G-Sharp, A-sharp, B, C-Sharp,
 D-Sharp,
 E-Sharp, F-Sharp.
 The C-Sharp scale is C-Sharp, D-Sharp, E-Sharp, F-Sharp,
G-Sharp,
 A-Sharp,
 B-Sharp, C-Sharp.

 The F scale is F, G, A, B-Flat, C, D, E, F.
 The B-Flat scale is B-Flat, C, D, E-Flat, F, G, A, B-Flat.
 The E-Flat scale is E-Flat, F, G, A-Flat, B-Flat, C, D, E-Flat.
 The A-Flat scale is a-Flat, B-Flat, C, D-Flat, E-Flat, F, G,
 A-Flat.
 The D-Flat scale is D-Flat, E-Flat, F, G-Flat, A-Flat, B-Flat,
C,
 D-Flat.
 The G-Flat scale is G-Flat, A-Flat, B-Flat, C-flat, D-Flat,
 E-Flat, F,
 G-Flat.
 The C-Flat scale is C-Flat, D-Flat, E-Flat, F-Flat, G-Flat,
 A-Flat, B-Flat,
 C-Flat.

The key signatures are: C, no sharps or flats; G, one sharp; D,
