Robert,

	Once  you double click the "done" button, you can slide through the
selections and find the "Share" button. Double-click on the button and you
will get another set of option, e.g., Air drop where you can share it with
someone else with an iPhone near you, Message to share it via text message,
and mail to send it via email. The file is an mp4 which, I believe, all
smart phones can open. HTH!

 I found the app. And did a test recording. Closed the app, then went back
and found it. that works fine but is there a way to use that to send an
audio clip via a text message? I mean can you attach it to a text?

	I use Voice Memos to do this very thing. It is a resident app on iOS
devices.

I have an I Phone 5s and I want to be able to  record short audio clips to
either attach to a text   message or even to  keep. I am trying to record
short clips that I come up with when trying to write a song. 

Also to  text to someone things I  am practicing on the guitar to get
feedback as to if I am getting it right and so on. 

 I can record video clips but that takes up too much   resourse and the
files get too big to text.
