[MusicTlk] accessible midi recording solution

I need an accessible midi recording solution for blind keyboardist. Nothing fancy— just a way to record a midi track when needed, tied to some sort of metronome, that could then be put into protools or such to add to a recording project. 

Freestanding small hardware, or some sort of accessible iDevice solution— either iPhone or iPad would be fine. All suggestions welcome.
