Fellow Musical Federationists:

As we all know, we're less than 2 weeks away from our annual "family reunion" in Orlando! We're all hurriedly and excitedly making our final preparations and putting together our personal agendas, and many of us on these lists are getting performances together for this year's Showcase of Talent. In the past few years I have had the honor of providing live piano accompaniment for some of our most talented members and, since I enjoy doing it so much, I would like to offer that service to anyone who wants it this year. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get access to Braille music between now and convention, but I primarily play by ear, so I'll be able to learn your song quickly.

I know that many talent show performers use backing tracks for their acts, and there are some who are more comfortable for them than with live accompaniment. However, live accompaniment has the advantage of giving the singer more flexibility in rhythm, key, dynamics, etc. So, if anyone who is performing in the talent show is interested in having me play for you, please email me at cnusbaumnfb at gmail.com and tell me what song you are performing. A recording or a YouTube video of the specific arrangement you have in mind would be even more helpful, as some songs have multiple arrangements which differ greatly. I hope I can have the honor of helping some of you with your performances!

See you in Orlando!
