Hi Robin,
I use a Yamaha MG 10 XU mixer. It costs $200new. It has four mic/quarter
inch inputs plus two sets of quarter inch stereo inputs plus a set of
RCA inputs. There are knobs and buttons to control everything including
tone and reverb.
I found Reaper too hard to learn. I use Audacity. I record keyboard
music as well as vocals. Audacity does everything that I need to do.
